Diary of a Fashion Stylist: Fashion Weeks Preparations

Every New Year starts with the Autumn Winter Men Fashion Weeks. I attend the Men Collections in London and Paris followed by the Spring Summer Couture Shows in Paris. Fashion Weeks are key professional and social events for everyone working in fashion. As a fashion stylist I must look my best and I need to ensure that I got tickets to designers’ shows that match my current and targeted celebrity and private clients and my creative projects.

Step number one of the fashion weeks preparations is to enquire for invitations. This season I held my team meetings at Cojean. An institution of gourmet healthy fast food for the past 5 years in Paris, Cojean just opened in St Paul’s in London. Loyal to its design interior, delicious gourmet and healthy recipes and large space, Cojean is an ideal venue for large team meetings and mood boarding and brainstorming sessions. A step away from the City and Barristers Chambers it’s also an ideal location for meetings with my corporate clients.

Facial Face Gym, Brows Blink Brown Bar, Sombre and Blow Dry Leticia Haute Coiffure

A few days before my departure I clear out my diary to focus on my beauty regime. I always take a lot of pictures, especially close ups for my Instagram feed and I need to look impeccable.

My first stop was a FROW facial in the private room of the Face Gym in Selfidges. Especially designed for pre-event pampering sessions, this treatment is litterally the most efficient facial ever. A real Bootcamp for your skin, the FROW  turns the clock back and enthuses your skin with a healthy glow for a fresh and youthful result.

Face Gym treatments are true work outs for your face. The FROW treatment starts with a warm up – a double cleanse followed by a divine face massage,  before a cardio boost – a succession of derma roller, electro stimulation and acid peel – and a cool off session with the application of a selection of super efficient serums with an ultra sound device. The result is sensational!

Next stop was a refresh of my Sombre (Subtle Ombré) at Leticia Haute Coiffure the salon that I co-founded with my genius husband and stylist to the stars Pierre Doumit. I always tell my clients that their hair is the signature of their personal style and I make sure that I live by example! I visit LHC twice a week for a blow dry and every other weeks for a Kerastase treatment, a Sombre refresh or a hair cut.

Last but not least was a visit to Blink Brow Bar in Liberty. Nestled in a quiet room on Liberty’s busy beauty shop floor I had my monthly eyebrow tint and shape to frame my face and enhance my facial features to make sure that I look good in my selfies!
