Rami Al Ali: if Marie Antoinette and Sheharazade were sharing a wardrobe


Rami Al Ali presented his Spring Summer collection 2016 in the exquisite surrounding of the Salon Pompadour of the Hotel Meurice in Paris. This is the 9th Paris Couture Show by Rami Al Ali.

Loyal to his signature feminine aesthetic, Al Ali used structured elements allowing the female silhouette to be showcased.

Floor length gowns are artfully cascaded in luxurious brocades and two-tones satins, effortlessly finished with gazar and and gold lames. Volume is key as layers of satin and brocade fabrics are formed together to create exaggerated tules adding drama and mystery to the collection. 


Al Ali’s infused some inspiration from iconic Moorish artistry with delicate arabesques embroideries applied on some of the dresses.


Revealing a modern colour palette of shades of gold and taupe, coral and royal blue, resulting an overall of freshness to the collection.


Rami Al Ali Spring Summer 16 Couture collection exhibits how unique craftsmanship and historical inspiration can be combined through the art of couture.
