Stylists Secret Addresses: Dr Dray London/Paris

IMG_7715When asked about their anti-aging routine, women often say that they believe in ageing gracefully. The sub-text is that they have a great cosmetic dermatologist. This is a fact. Once one hits their 30s they need to update their beauty routine with some cosmetic dermatological treatments if they want to keep their skin looking young and fresh. This includes a selection of Peels, Botox, Hyaluronic Acid, Laser, Mesotherapy and so on. Now whilst a plethora of treatments are available in the market, their execution is key to ensure that one keeps a youthful look and avoid looking like having had some work done.

When it comes to anti-aging treatments I believe that French practitioners are the best. There are 2 reasons for this. A) French love natural looking women so they would rather decline a treatment rather than giving their client a frozen face look. B) French are direct so they will suggest one or two treatments if they think that you could benefit from it. Luckily, one of the best practitioners of cosmetic dermatological treatments is the gerontologist Dr Dray and his team and the good news is that they have two practices: one in Paris and another one London.

The Parisian practice is based at the end of Avenue Montaigne with a stunning view on the Eiffel  Tower. It’s the ideal location to include an anti-aging treatment between a designer shopping spree and a dinner at the glamorous Avenue restaurant, at the other end of Avenue Montaigne.

The treatment that made Dr Dray famous is the Mesolift – which he invented. Very popular in France, the Mesolift is still a confidential treatment in London, a secret that is only shared within the fashion industry and the tight community of top beauty editors. This non invasive treatment is pure genius. It consist in the injection of a super potent cocktail of active substances including amino acids, vitamins  ABCE, Hyaluronic acid and co-enzymes via super thin needles. The process is painless, without downtime and leaves your skin glowing and radiant, preventing skin ageing by stimulating the fibroblasts. This is a typical routine treatment for any busy women within or over their thirties. For best results, Dr Dray and his team initially recommend a course of 2-4 treatments in the space of 2-3 weeks apart.

The other treatments where Dr Dray’s team excels are Botox and Hyaluronic Acid. These are a big ones as they can make you either look younger or if badly executed can make you look older, or even worse, alter your natural features. Again just like with the Mesolift, these treatments are painless as Dr Dray’s team first apply a local anesthetic on the zones to be treated shortly before doing the injections. I won’t disclosed the exact treatments that I’ve had done. As a French woman like to keep an air of mystery, especially around my beauty routine and Dr Dray and his team will be the first to keep the secrets of my beauty routine safe. I can only reveal that Dr Kauffholz (my practitioner) and I worked around keeping my face wrinkle free and plumping the areas that usually lose their volumes as you grow older (under eyes, cheekbones…).  Et voila!

For the convenience of their jet setting clientele, Dr Dray and his team also have a practice at the exclusive Albert Place in Kensington, right off Hyde Park. I personally use both clinics based on my work schedule and my travel plans, ideal to keep looking young and fresh whatever the location of my work or my social commitments.
